Advantages of using isometrics over barbells

Isometrics are:
SAFE
- There are no weights to come crashing down on you; I personally know
of a professional weightlifter who had a 300 lb barbell come crashing down on his spine, damaging his lower
back for life.
- No spotter is needed to prevent (1) from happening; and the spotter
may not be fast enough or strong enough to prevent an accident.
- No need to worry about damaging floors from falling weights.
QUIET
- Isometric exercises are quiet, and do not disturb neighbors.
- Because isometric exercises are quiet, you can perform them anytime,
even in the middle of the night. They are ideal for someone who does shift work, or in a hospital environment.

- No time is spent changing plates.
